6430 computer communication errors

Google or other search engines will point to other sources sometimes.

Your local Deere dealer can also be very good. Over the years I have become friendly with the service and parts managers at all the local dealers for all the colors. All have been great about explaining a problem and not just saying they need to see it or send a service truck.

Hello again, the tractor runs fine till the alarm goes off, a blue warning light comes on on the dash, it may stay on and then goes off. the driving is rough with a loader on. I thought the CD player would cut out but think it is skipping. the owner said the the heater blower motor would quit and does or the AC in the summer would also quit as well the PTO would shut off ( I never had it shut off even when busting bales in the rough corral) When the computer has an error the monitor said cummunication error with one or more ATC , ETC or HTC systems. The customer had it in two shops and could not get it fixed. (John Deere). J deere said the ATC is the auto temp control system, the ETC is another temp control . I dont know where to look for the codes, but can be accesed with out a scan tool.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Sounds like a bad alternator for the CD and heater.

The short answer is that someone needs to buy a service manual or hire somebody that owns one.

Detailed service information for farm equipment is proprietary to the manufacturer and generally not available in the public domain.

The OP has not provided sufficient information to allow anyone here that might be able to help to do so.

If it is like my 6220 series you should be able to access the codes thru the digital readout on the dash. The back of your owner's manual lists all of the diagnostic codes and how to access them with either the Dual Gauge II or Dual Gauge Plus II digital display or Performance Monitor.

(I am assuming that Deere didn't change the dash between the 20 series and 30 series.)

You might also try unplugging the connectors on the computers and then plugging them back in as one might be slightly loose or have a little corrosion on it's connectors. You might also try taking a hard pencil eraser and shine the gold on the contacts to remove any corrosion (if they look tarnished). My 6220's have 3 computers and they are mounted directly beneath the rear cab window. You remove the black panel on the outside of the cab to access them. I broke the little clips that hold the panel on and had to buy some more.

But they did. In the 6030 series you can only access the troubles codes in the CommandCenter (that cute display in the right hand side console), otherwise you'll only access it with a Performance Monitor or the JD Service Advisor...

The Command Center should be a replacement for the digital displays that they had before. The instructions on how to access the codes and what they mean should be in the owner's manual

Indeed, but not all tractor have the Command Center. In some the instrument panel used is the one without digital information (except the hour meter, like the SE series), and in those ones it's impossible to access the codes without connecting with the CAN BUS.
Just add this to say that it is possible the the error codes are not directly accessible by the tractor owner/user.
