:welcome:

Whenever I keep blowing a fuse, I rig up a 12v light bulb in a socket with two wires that I push into the fuse socket. A short will cause the bulb to light. Then moving around to try to find the short that is possibly in a wire rubbing to ground, can sometimes be found. Better than just replacing fuses not knowing what is causing the problem.

I found a shorted wire above a roof (head) liner in a new car that the dealer couldn't find and I was tired of continually going back with the problem. Plugged the light in and started moving wires. While reaching under the dash, my hand pressed the headliner and the light bulb went out. Walla! Touch the headliner again and the light came on. So back to the dealer to point out where the short was at.

Have used that trick several times.
