The tractor has done very little work. Mainly pulled a baler and hauled hay two bales at a time to remove off the field and to feed with. Has anybody else clutch wore out this fast. It was adjusted three times and from looking in the hole at the bottom doesn't appear to have oil on it just a lot of dust. I heard there is a better clutch they put in them now than this, the only problem is I am going to have to pony up about $1500.00 for a clutch replacement for somebodies else junk.

The hours don't even sound reasonable. Did you buy The M new? Could someone have rode the clutch continually?

M series tractors have very very little clutch issues. I have seen them though with only 20 hours or so with the clutch out. Most clutch issues are from riding the clutch or letting the clutch out going down a hill that is why warranty does not cover them. You will be good to go when you get a new clutch in......

I bought the tractor new and I don't ride the clutch. I have a Ford 3600 with over 4000 hours with the original clutch still in it my dad bought new in Feb. 1977. The dealer sent his mechanic out to check it out and he said would be hard to get any help from the company because it was over 3 years old. The tractor looks like new, shed kept, washed and waxed often. I take excellent care of my machinery because it cost so much to buy. There has to be something wrong. The reason it has so few hours is because I have 3 other tractors and seems like farming profits keep getting less every year and I cut back on usage as much as possible especially with the fuel prices. I have not had not one other problem out of this tractor besides this, no oil leaks or nothing. I would highly recommend it. It pulls a Vermeer 505 baler with ease and seems to have plenty of power and the air conditioner is real cold, also the 4 wheel drive works good. The mechanic did say the new clutch to be put in it will be a lot better than this. They sell a lot of Kubotas and he said maybe 3 other clutch problems so far.
