62 C deck maintenance

Hello,
Looks like I need new bearings on my guage wheels already. I have approximately 550 hours on this 62c deck. Wondering how often folks have had to replace guage wheel bearings? And the blade spindle bearings? Spindle bearings seem okay, just wondering how often they need replacing?

I had a 62C on a 485X (bought new) and had over 600 hrs on it when I traded. I greased the deck (wheels, spindles, drive shaft) about 4 times a summer mowing about 6 acres of grass. Never had a problem with the deck. In fact, the dealer remarked how good the deck and tractor condition was when I traded. My experience, the 62C deck will last a long time (hrs?) if it's greased often. My wife thinks I'm obsessed with changing fluids and greasing equipment but I think it's the secret to longevity. :thumbsup:

Yea, I grease after each use -every 2 to 3 hours. I just have a very rough 31/2 acres of former pasture that just beats those poor guage wheels to death. Only trouble I had was the belt started slapping the gearbox bracket, found out that the idler pulley had slipped on its mount. About to buy my 3rd set of blades, I like to keep them sharp!
