60W Incandescent bulbs

I like the "touch" controls for lamps. A little device that either plugs in or is between the socket & bulb. Touch any metal part of the lamp to control it. One touch is low, another touch med, and finally high. I just use 100Watt bulbs.
Easy & low cost.

I bought a case of incandescent bulbs for 25c each a few years ago. They are 1,000 hour bulbs, well-engineered to keep you buying bulbs. At the time it seemed reasonable, 25c every few months (more like 500 hours). Then I found a bunch of 14,000 hour bulbs for 50c each and bought them, probably 40 bulbs, they are clear, not frosted. We have heat for most of the year, and no air conditioning. Consequently the heat from incandescent bulbs, if inside the home, is not waste.

I have a few fixtures that I know will never have LEDs in them (with clear bulbs). I prefer the look of clear bulbs if the bulb is visible, and especially if they last 14,000 hrs.

Then having a few LEDs in the house that never need to be changed, the 1,000 hour bulb bargains don't seem like bargains. Maybe wait a few years and eBay them?
