That's awesome! Any chance you could post pics of how you routed the hydraulic lines and attached the new FEL controls? I'd love to do this some time down the road

I need about 2 more inches of leg room on my XR4040 but this doesn't work on my tractor.

My connection says that New Holland is talking about trying to make their tractors from the ground up in the near future (likely they'll still buy an engine) so that'll be interesting. Maybe the LS & Shibaura contract is just a stop-gap until they get up and running.
I cant see them (that is any brand not currently building their own) going back into production as long as they can get a machine fabricated by someone else and to the quality they expect. It would cost them too much to do it AND the market share isn't there for everyone to make their own. All the small tractor makers have more capacity than they can sell under their own brand so they farm our the excess capacity to the other guys and just buy some different color paint. To be competitive, the factory would have to be someplace where labor is cheap so the obvious locations would be something like the Shibaura, LS, Yanmar, Mahindra etc are located which wouldn't gain them anything and maybe cause the prices to be much higher than they can currently sell them for which in turn would give the Shibaura, LS, Yanmar, Mahindra guys an even bigger share of the market without them having to invest any money.

This thread was resurrected so I took a gander... funny what we were talking about 2 years ago, and funny how it came true! NH/Fiat is actually starting to build their own tractors (I believe in Mexico) and selling them as the Boomer Cab models. We'll have to wait and see if they move all CUT production in that direction after the LS contract is up.

I was able to move my seat back by changing the bolting on my XR4046HC, I'm not sure on the open station but I would think the floor pan is the same.

Thanks for reviving this. I will see if this works on my XR4046H today.

Did you use existing holes or drill new. Looks like my xr4040 has two sets of holes, mine is bolted in the back so I would have to drill to gain any length. There is room for the seat to move back a couple more inches though.

For those with the XR, Legroom is NOT really the issue, It's height. I raised mine 2" and it made ALL the difference in the world!!!!
