60" 7 iron vs 54" or 62" deck on 700 series

FYI by my quick measurements the old 54" deck spins the blades a bit faster than the 54c ASSUMING that the PTO shaft speed is same.

I did a quick steering test on the driveway. The 455 turned in a 14’ circle outside to outside while the 748 was 15’ 1” Both approximations, but I tried to be as scientific as I could using the garage slab change as a point of reference and then measuring out to the front outer tire at the top of the key.

I also noted that with the 748 you have to continue to steer (keep turning the wheel in order to maintain full lock or it ”springs back” off of the steering lock. The 455 seems to hold against the lock much better.
