I recently purchased one of the rebadged Jinma chippers. Yes it has a feed roller and it will take everything I can give it. Around here's mostly oak which can be hard to work with. For the money ($1600 delivered) and the fact that I am a couple of times a year chipper, I just couldn't justify the larger price tags.
Personally, I don't think you'd be making a mistake with the chinese chipper.
