6' Box Blade for CT 235

Will my CT 235 handle a 6' box blade. Looking at a used, United 6' BB, great shape for about $350. I am on the east coast, sandy soil not a lot of clay, and gravel drive. I have R4's. Should I try to find a 60" or 66".

That's a good price for one in great shape. I'd go for it and here is why. I would rather have one on the larger side rather than too small. If the tractor struggles dump a little dirt. That box doesn't have to be full. If scarifiers are needed and present too large a load lift one or two.

And if all the above fails sell it and go to plan B.

That 35hp tractor should have no problem with that blade as you described. It has plenty of weight to handle it. My 35hp Branson tractor weighs about 700lbs more than yours and I use a 7' back blade easily.:thumbsup:

I have a 6' United on my 230 and I have not issues with it at all. I have had the box full of dirt and have no issues pulling it. I also have R4's. I would say go for it!

I have a 66 in box blade and a ct 335 bobcat depends how hard you use it but my 66 in can stop me dead

I pull a 72" Heavy Gannon (over 800 lbs or so) behind a CK25 gear. No problem as long as the scarifiers don't grab a big root or rock. A load of dirt is a piece of cake. I think you'll be just fine.

A 6 foot BB should be no problem for your tractor, i run a 6 foot BB on my CK30 (orange version of the CT230) with no problem.
