59\" Snow Blower

Does anyone know who makes the 59" snow blower for JD? I would like to get one for my 4310 but the JD price is rather high ($4K+). I wonder if the same or comparible unit is available in a different color for a more reasonable price.

Re: 59\" Snow Blower

I suspect it is made to Deere's specs (if it is from 'outside') to fit the quick attach that Deere has. Finding the Deere blower from the mfg. might be a problem, but good luck if you can. Let us know how it works out.

Re: 59\" Snow Blower

I have a JD 59" snowblower with all manuals (ops and maint) on my 790 but havn't seen a clue as to the OE manufacturer. However keep an eye on Ebay, as I've seen a few of them go fairly reasonably. Keep in mind although the snowblower main unit is the same for the 42-4400 series and the 790, the front Hitch Kit and hydraulic connectors are different. The snowblower is built very well and takes only about 3-5 mins to put it on and off (easier than the FEL)!

You'll need some weight in the back (wheel weights and something hanging off the 3pt) and may need chains if steep. I use the rear blade for smaller snowfalls. I strongly recommend a cab (even a cheap one).

Re: 59\" Snow Blower

I have the blower you are talking about on my 4310 and although I can't answer your specific question, I will say I absolutely love the thing. It throws any type of snow and does it well.

Last winter I made a 600 ft by 150 ft skating rink, just because I couldn't bring myself to stop.

It wasn't cheap, but I have no doubt I'll be getting my moneys worth out of it.

Re: 59\" Snow Blower

Last year I spent a lot of time trying to locate the manufacturer of the Kubota snow blower and finally located the company in Canada. They are the manufacturer of the snow blowers for most of the tractors that are sold in the states. Each snowblower is similar to the other brands, but the hitch mechanism is unique to each tractor manufacturer. I wanted to purchase some repair parts from them, however, they said that all sales for parts and machines go only though the authorized dealers and must be procured through the tractor manufacturer. They are under contract not to offer any parts for these machines. Sorry, I don't know what I did with the company's name..
