Hello all,

I have a JD 4310 and a JD 59" Snow Blower both have never let me down during the snowy Winters of Northern Maine.

The drive shaft that connects to the snow blower coupling and the 4310 tractor PTO coupling has two different ends . . . one end is fixed while the other end can be extended or compacted as needed to connect the drive shaft to the couplings.

My question is: Does it matter which end is connected to the snow blower coupling . . . can it be the fixed end or the extendable end? Does it matter which end connects where? Hope this is clear . . . I can add a photo if necessary.

On my tractor/snowblower the pto driveline can only go one direction. The coupler on the snowblower is different than the coupler on the tractor. I suspect yours will only go one way but I could be wrong.
