5740C loader attachements fall off

Have a 5740C with a loader and just love it.
Have 88 hours now.
What is happening lately is my bucket or hay spear unit detaches from the loader if some down pressure is applied. This never happened when new.
has anyone else experience this problem?

They have a replacement to fix that. Just contact your dealer and Montana will get it taken care of.

Is this something that is specific to the 5740 or other models affected? On my 4340C the bucket seems loose after I lock the quick-tach. Its not enough where it wil detach but when I apply down pressure it moves. It is the same way with my forks. It also slides sideways a small amount. I always thought that was the way it is suppose to be, but it seems like it will cause something to wear. Should I be worried about anything??

I have a 2006 5740 also. I've got over 250 hrs on mine. Is this something everyone who has a 5740 needs to get fixed or just certain tractors?

On my 2005 5740C, I have the original front end loader which is different from the front end loader they put on the later model 2006s and on up. My friend has a 2006 with the newer model loader on it. At first I thought he got the better deal since his FEL looked and felt stouter, and his quick connect levers had only one lever on each side, unlike mine with two flimsey levers on each side. ( a smaller one to unlock eack side and then a larger one to lift pins on each side after unlocking) However, once the main lift lever on each side of mine broke and another buddy then welded them back together and in doing so, re-enforced each of those levers bigger levers on each side, my FEL quick disconnect now works much better than my friend's with the new FEL system on it. Mine does not do any of what you are discribing now and stays locked when I change implements on my FEL. My FEL is squared off shaped and my friends has rounded shaped FEL arms on his 2006.

This is only on curved boom loaders and only a few affected by it. Simple fix and you are good to go.

Is this for only the 5740 or for all models with the 115 loader? What is the fix?
Mine has never fell off but is alot looser than I like.

I have only seen it on a couple of 5740C but I would think it possible on any 115 loader. Very uncommon in any case.

I just had this happen on Thursday, I own a 4940c. My dealer is no longer selling Montana Tractors, who should I contact? I also need flluid filters for my tractor, who should I use for my parts and service needs on the internet?

I live in Bouse, Arizona.

Hi I am in So Indiana and have an 07 5740C with the curved, I notice my attachments are loose also. I would like more information also, my dealer is several hours away is this something that can be sent, and I install? Thanks
