5530 trans dipstick location

can somebody tell me where the transmission level check is on here and where the add fluid hole is. Thanks

Got a photo from the back side? Not sure of your model, but just behind the seat, is usually the filler hole...

Ok i saw what was marked breather hole back there

guessing this is the filler hole. Where do you check the level. I had a synchronizer line dripping and fixed it just wanna check and see how much ran out

See if there is a sight glass on the side of the transmission.... more common than dip stick... again not sure of your model. also, remove cap of breather... that might have a dip stick.

Look just under the clutch pedal for a long hex nut that's angled out of transmission case. It screws out and has a dipstick attached.

in the first pic, it is the long hex that has yellow painted on it.(that's the check point).

the breather in the back,(your secound pic ) is the the fill point.

Ok thanks guys lol i kept looking at that hex nut earlier but i was like nah its gotta look like the oil dipstick.

Does tractor need to be running to check level my dipstick is dry

The oil on mine is so clean,it is hard to see, I rub my finger along the dip stick to indicate where the oil level is.

I know you had a leak, so if there is nothing on the dip stick, you are low.

John Deere service centers have a red dye made to be added to oil so you can see it on the stick. I put it in my Mahindra fluid. Now I can see it and don't have to guess.

My 5500 trany and hydro are on the rear. The square plug on top of the rear end housing has a dipstick attached for hydro and down below rig right the PTO on right side is a plug for the tranny
