5530 hand throttle stuck

I went to use the 5530 and the hand throttle would is frozen. It has been sitting for several months, but other than that, been operating just fine.

Any suggestions on what to do?

You need to look and see if the throttle cable is free at the engine governor lever and not just frozen inside the steering wheel assembly. Other wise sounds like you have rusted and you need some WD40 oil.
You might be able to separate the cable just inside the engine at a threaded connector, I can on my tractor to help isolate the problem.
But make sure you mark how it was set.
