Our good dealer, D&G, returned with the 1026R today outfitted with a new 54" Snowblower! Now I can't wait for the first snowfall. I went with the 54" figuring the 10' wide 1300' or so long drive could be done in one round trip. Hopefully, it will make a tremendous difference over my JD165 with the 38" single stage blower. Unfortunately, we couldn't leave it attached as there's still grass to mow. It was no big problem to get it off. Not exactly Quick Attach like the MMM, though. Still better than threading belts on my old JD165. The only unexpected surprise is that the Quick Attach brackets for the mower need to come off to put the blower on. Putting the brackets back on was a little tricky using the indistinct pictures from the manual. Once on, the mower connected just fine. I was holding my breath, but it seems OK. A week ago, was able to nab a Quick Hitch at the Harbor Freight tent sale for only $42! Sure makes it easy to pick up the weight box. Now I've got attachment fever (dreaming of box blade...48" brush hog...).
