54"belly mower on 2305

i have a 2007 2305 with 54" yellow belly deck, the height adjustment maxes out at either 4 or 5" on the setting but even at highest setting it cuts my grass at about 3.5 inches, is there some adjustment i can make to get it to cut higher? thanks in advance for any info, robb gwaltney richmond virginia

Mine did the same thing. Without getting technical, underneath there are 2 gold colored turnbuckles, they lift the deck, one on each side. The turnbuckles attach at the top to 2 black steel lifting arms. You can turn them that they are shorter, and if you shorten them say 1/2 inch your deck raises that much higher. Word to the wise: you will see 2 black steel posts, actually stops. They prevent the deck from being raised too high. If you shorten turnbuckles too much, your hydraulics will try to raise deck too high and your black arms that raise deck will come in contact with these 2 black steel posts.
It gets ugly, something will bend or break. Go slow!
