She's a beaut! I'll bet a picture of it sitting next to something in a bright JD green would be spectacular!

Nice "Flattie".

My Son has a '53 M38A1. Thought I had a pic in my phone but not.

Indeed showroom gem.

A friend of mine had one similar to it but kept it out at the river (Colorado) to launch his boat. The brakes on those thing hardly work in reverse so when he backed the boat down the ramp he would put it in 4 wheel low and let it coast back using the hardly working brakes and when he wanted to stop he let the clutch out and use the engine to stop it.

That is until the time he was backing down and accidentally bumped the transfer case into neutral.

No need to tell you how that ended up :cool2:

CJ3B came about because of the change from flathead to overhead valve engine. The newer engine was much taller. They changed when Kaiser bought Willys.

Looks sharp. I thought the high hood started with '59, when my dad bought one. I took my first driving test in a '53 or '54, can't remember which it was.

Learned something:

Jeep CJ - Wikipedia

Ours was apparently a CJ-3A. The 3B had the higher hood.

Interesting sidebar... The CJ3B has been made for years in other countries under licensing. Mahindra still makes a come CJ type vehicles. Mitsubishi made CJ3B variants on into the late 1990's.

Very nice. I've always been a huge fan of flat fenders!!!

Never driven one but the Mahindra copy I took for a drive many years ago, they were terrible, tiny little drum brakes didn't pull up well and any corrugations would have it going where it wanted despite you thinking you were in control.
Another copy (I think) was the Rocsta which came from Malaysia or thereabouts.
I knew someone who had one (Jeep) and attempted to convert to right hand drive and discovered it was a major operation with all the engine plumbing in the way of the steering.
