5225 starting symptom

C'mon, you only read the manual as a last resort. I jack the throttle up a little, but I can't say I've ever gone a third of the way when I start my tractor. It always starts just fine albiet with a little smoke. I'm 300 miles from my tractor right now, but I'll try a little more throttle next time.

I went out tonight and fired mine up with a little more throttle and it seemed to help. I never saw it b-4.

My 5325 starts the same way-it has the 5 Cyl also. . Will also try a little more throttle.

Yep...it has surley helped with 1/3 throttle. It just seemed like a high cold start rpm to me. What do I know...I didn't build the thing!
