5205 John Deere

My 5205 John Deere hydraulic pump is making noise. Should I replace it or can I rebuild it ?

Noise could be cavitation. Check the simple things first... Oil level correct ? Filter changed ? Supply hoses sucked in?

Is this a noise that just started or has it always been try? Please look at the included link. When was the last time you changed the hydraulic fluid and cleaned the pickup screen?

Thanks for the tips. I have not cleaned the screen. I changed the filter a while back. I may need to do all the suggestions before I jump off into a new pump. Thanks again. Rdavis
