52 8n oil filter fittings

So I decided to change the oil and filter yesterday on the 8n in preparation for winter. I disconnected the lines from the filter so I could drain it and during re-assembly, I split the brass fitting. I ran to the auto parts store and TISCO and neither had a brass fitting. So I bought a piece of brake line to make a new line to eliminate the fitting all together- I stripped out the canister. I have located a new (used) canister with a drain plug. What is the correct description for the 2 brass fittings for the stock canister? 1/8 male to 7/16-24 female ?
Has anyone had any experience with this spin on adapter: 8N Ford Tractor spin on oil filter adapter NEW!

I think you need steel line inverted flare to 1/8 pipe fitting (I am not positive though). I had not seen that adapter before but I will be buying one for our NAA. Remember this is a bypass filter not a full flow filter.
