Got more work in yesterday. Used the new (to me) 5005 and ML214 loader to move a few tons of rock to a sink hole, dug a few huge ones from the ground, and popped out a few walnut stumps from the old farm garden. Used a subsoiler on the stumps first and the loader. Lots of power from the tractor and loader.

Working the grapple, I noticed a few of the quick connect fittings on the W.R. Long fitting block (not sure what to call it) were leaking.

I shut the tractor down, relieved the hydraulic pressure, and cleaned each of the fittings (used brake cleaner to spray them out) and re-installed.

No more leaks. I also made sure to tighten the AN fittings while I was at it.

I guess that this needs to be watched more closely. This is my first tractor, so I am learning as I go.

42 hours and some change so far, zero issues.

I did bend the steps on a tree stump working in close quarters. So, I need to figure out how to order replacement parts. Other than that, this tractor has been flawless.

LOL... that made me chuckle.

Actually, it was such a NEWB mistake... granted, first tractor, learning how to use the grapple, I think I only had 3 hours on it at the time.

I was removing black gum trees, and had cut the tree (4" diameter) about waist high, so I could pull it up using the chain / tire method.

I had forgotten about said stump, and BAM!!!! Turned right into it, not paying attention. My steps took the direct hit.

No damage to the tractor other than that, but my ego was bruised.

Curb / Stump feelers are in order now... :)
