5105 no lights when key is switched

I got a problem with my John Deere 5105 2005 before I took the starter and went to get it fixed the John Deere was good all the lights turned on when the key switched was on and when I tired to crank it'll turn over but not start took off the starter thinking it was the starter then I got my starter fixed today I pout the starter back on but when I give the key to turn no light on dash and not even turning the starter what can It be need help

can it be the ignition switch I also put 2 different battery and put both with good jumper cables and clean the ground terminal or did they not fix my starter right

A bad starter won't affect dash warning lights and gauges. It's hard to tell from here, but my money is a a wire that came off the starter along with the battery cable, got pushed around while the removal/installation process was going on, then didn't get put back on. Look for that wire.

When you put the starter back in, the wire to feed the main fuse block did not get put back onto the + terminal on the starter. Look for a small wire floating around in the area of the starter ( or you blew the fuse). Cam
