Hey Pack!
Had some time so I thought I share a little. Took my Kioti into the dealer for its first 50hr service. Took it in @ 48hrs on the meter. Okay, before you all rib me about taking it to the dealer....there are 3 reasons why I did this.

1. This is my first tractor and I paid a lot of $$ for it so I wanted to be sure it is documented if there are any problems with. Everything was as it should be, no issues/problems noted.
2. After having it home for 3 days (after purchasing it), I noticed the paint on the FEL was peeling off in several areas (mainly around the sharp 90 degree angles). Again, having paid a lot of $$ for it, I felt that Kioti should make good on it (especially since the FEL is on a 1yr warranty). So, my dealer took care of it while I had it in. This took the most amount of time but I think it looks good, plus it is now documented.
3. I had problems w/ 5 grease zerks and wanted them replaced. Turns out, my grease gun fitting was loose and needed replaced.

I now have 60-61 hours on the meter - mainly mowing. Just dug out a drainage ditch and have been backfilling low spots in the yard before we overseed in Sept. Will have to post more pics on these activities.

So, here are some pics for your viewing pleasure. I thought my dealer did a nice job on the paint work. Thanks & happy tractoring!

Sharp edges do not take paint well, and should be rounded before painting.

Hopefully that is the only reason you had an issue.

GKH: I'm not gonna kid you about taking it to dealer.....I did the same because I couldn't get either of the 3 filters off. My dealer picked it up, serviced it, and returned it for $130, having used my oils and filters which I had previously bought from him. I did the front axle myself...at least I could do that much! :) He also greased the tractor and mower which I left attached. Next time around I should be able to remove the filters myself.

I am not going to give you any crap either about taking it to the dealer. It is under warranty and this way there can be no excuses.

Of course, I am also a Director of Service for a large company  (not Kioti, the semi-conductor industry), so I am a big believer in dealer service.

After reading my post, I realize my fingers couldn't keep up w/ my brain/thoughts.....too bad there's not a proofing tool on here??!!

Katty, what's up with your tractor?

On occasion I could use a proofing tool too.

See "DK40SE Squeal Went Moving in Reverse" Topic. The squeal bad enough, but having the dealer install the backhoe frame up-side-down and hydraulic lines incorrectly causes me to wonder if I dealing with a circus.

Hey Katty,
Just read thru your post(s). Very sorry to hear about the trouble you are having!!! I LOVE my DK40SE HST!!! (not intimately.....you all know what I mean-) To a degree, I work in customer service myself and I HEAR you LOUD & CLEAR when it comes to attitude and the desire to take care of a customer and what it is like to walk away with that warm fuzzy feeling - makes me want to tell everyone I know to do business with this (person, company, etc.)!!!!

I would love to work for Kioti and be in charge of taking care of situations like yours!!! I certainly think I could teach them a thing or two and really take Kioti's reputation to another level in the process. Someone from the Corporate office should be in contact with you and give you a regular (every day, couple of days) update via email and coordinate the work w/ the dealer so EVERYONE is on the same page......and cover your 50hr service for the hassle you've experienced!!!!

I really hope you get it resolved....sounds like you need to switch dealers though? Dealers need to realize they make or break the business (Kioti's and theirs) with how they treat people. I just spent a LOT of money with you.....treat me like it!!!!! God Bless my friend and take care!

P.S. I really do envy the cab!!!!

I would be upset if the paint on my tractor was peeling off that easily. I can't believe the factory didn't round the edges before painting. Looks like the dealer did a better job than the factory.
