5093e pto stopped working

Was mowing silage with a Kuhn FC300 moco 2 days strait. Half way through the second day the pto kicked out, light was still on. Stopped pto restarted ok, but slipped as soon as I started mowing. Stopped and started pto about 10 times, slipping every time and then it just locked up and I mowed the rest of the day and night no problems (except clutch pedal spring broke, but that's minor) Any ideas as to what caused this?

No good ideas... but not totally understanding just what happened. Maybe some others will be able to decipher what went wrong.

Limited machines (I believe) are a purely mechanical pto, slipping and then not slipping seems to me that it could potentially be linkage related. Replace the spring, and check out the rest of the linkage. There should also be some adjustments that can be made related to pto clutch engagement as well.

Oops, my bad. Not all limited machines are a conventional pto clutch, some are internally engaged hydraulically.

Mine is EH. Would engage but when I started cutting it slipped badly. Got a clutch spring from the dealer the next morning. Was fine to mow with no clutch pedal but loading trucks/trailers wouldn't have been fun!
