I am new to tractors, 51 hrs on my 5065e with no complaints. I don't really understand how the shuttle works but want some advice on operation. When you are doing loader work using the 2-R synchronized feature, shifting to the opposite direction you are moving before stopping, does that wear synchronizers out sooner? It is a nice feature but seems I have read that it may be harder on transmission? When in A range you have to practically stop anyway to get clutch all the way in due to moving so slowly with Ag tires. But in B range you can still be rolling pretty good and shift in opposite direction before stopping . For longer life of transmission, is it better to stop completely before shifting? Thanks

The transmission is designed to be reversed on the move and last for is service life, that being said that tractor is rated for light loader work. If 90% of your work is with the loader and your working the shuttle hard you could wear it out prematurely.
