Is Deere going to update the 5020 series (5220, 5320,5420,5520) to the 5025 series? Any ideas whats being changed? Curved arm loaders??

I doubt the 5x25 or 5x30s are due soon

It is VERy likely the 4710 will be 58Hp and get curved loader arms. The rife barrel grease zerts really make that nice...

Info leaks on it should be better tomorrow and product announcements shortly after that...

All anyone knows is that the 5025's are suppose to be out by the end of the year. Any changes to them will be revealed shortly to dealers and other muckity mucks associated with the JD brass. Then we find out /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think the 5x25 will be out way ahead of the 4720. I figure the 4720 will be lucky to hit the market in early to mid 2005.

It's a wait and see thang /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have a 5300 JD, my first and last with green paint. It has been in the shop for recalls from the start and now I am waiting for parts for the pto and I think I will be having it torn down again, will be the fifth time, for it looks like the rear main seal is leaking. I have owned 7 tractors and this one is the pits. I like the power and performance, but I sure pay the price for it.

The Four thousand twenty series will be shipped to dealers June 7. As of today no known knowledge to dealers of an updated 5000 series. It is always painfully obvious when rebates are strong and product thin that the new is going to arrive. I would say that after the arrival of the new 20 series compacts we will see an anouncement renumbering the entire compact line into the 1020, 2020, 3020, and as we all know the 4020 series. If Deere does not make this move the new large frame compact model numbers will make no sense.
But back to the point, I have seen nothing to lead me to believe that the 5000 series will see any new makeover soon. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Do you work for a dealer like me? And I am not understanding this 1020, 2020, and 3020 line you speak of. Where did they come from? Are they going to be like a 20 horse 1020 and so on? I believe the current numbering for the larger ag tractors makes sense. It has been around since late '92 very early '93 since they discontinued the Sound Gard style cab tractors. We all know that the 7000 series is smaller than the 8000.

Yes I do work for a dealer. And as for the new tractor numbers, the large frames will be as follows, 4120, 4320, 4520, 4720. they will replace as:
4120 - 4510
4320 - 4610
4520 - 4710
4720 - ????? at 58 hp it is a new model all together.
so with this system in place for these CUT's, and a few things spoken at a recent meeting I believe the mid frame will be the 3120, 3320, 3520 replacing as:
3120 - 4210
3320 - 4310
3520 - 4410
What I can't put my finger on is how they are going to handle the small frame and the 2210. anyway if it doen't at least resemble this type of a system we are going to have a heck of a time trying to explain the numbers. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
