Hi all,

Having issues with the 5020 again. It leaked oil from the clutch housing from the start. I had the engine overhauled, rear seal replaced and hydraulic pump overhauled - then it started pouring oil out of the clutch housing. I then had it re-split at the transmission - the synchronizers and the seals [input and pto shafts] replaced - it is still leaking although much less. it is hard for me to tell where from, although the clutch looks wet and not the other side. My mechanic says he does not understand where it could be leaking from - he mentioned that there may be a hairline crack in the housing somewhere. I am not sure what to do - I really do not want any leaks - I have rebuilt all leaking valves myself. Can anyone offer suggestions as to where else to look, I have spent a lot of money on this tractor already and would really appreciate your input on the next step. Is there a seal in the clutch housing on the input shaft going into the transmission. If there really is a crack, how do we identify and then fix it? I do not want to 'waste' any more money searching aimlessly. Thank you.

Oil leak possibly could be from faulty oil seal on pto input shaft seal or maybe pto control valve. Remove inspection cover(parts key 16) on bottom of clutch housing for a visual inspection.
