what are you calling the Aux Hydraulics? Are you talking about the remotes on the left rear of the tractor? If so, what are you trying to run with it?

Ah. Is this new behavior? I have never used the remotes to run anything other than an up/down cylinder on towed equipment. But if I remember correctly, my FEL was tied into the remotes but I had the dealer tie it into the pressure line out of the pump when I bought it.
But, about your issue... Honestly I don't know... I assume you have checked the fluid levels and all that? I know the 5005DI does not have a very big reservoir. Could you be starving the valve for fluid? Say if the screen on the return line was clogged and not letting fluid get back to the pump in time? Have you noticed any pump whine?

This might a good question for the Hydraulics section since it will it expose it to more thinking caps.

I don't believe the rear remote valve has a detent to hold it in either position. It is made to return to the center when you let off of the handle. If this is what you are talking about it is working properly, but some people put a bunge strap on it to hold it in one position or the other.

I run a Bradco 511 backhoe off of my 6520 remote. The remote lever will stay in position by itself, but pops back to neutral if you breath too hard. Bradco makes a bracket (strap) that hooks onto the remote lever when it is engaged.
