I'm about to do the 50 hr service on my 2210, and my father-in-law, (who bleeds green and yellow) says there is no need to replace the hydraulic oil, just the hyd. filter at this point.
Opinions?

2210 manual calls for the following:

Change engine oil and filter.
Check alternator belt tension
Check radiator hoses and clamps
Check air filter intake hoses and clamps
Check transmission oil level
Check wheel bolt torque
Check for loose, missing, or damaged parts
Change transmission oil and filter

Why not stick with the recommended service intervals? Thereafter the interval goes up to 200 hrs.

go with what jd says. Except I just hit a 100 hours and changed the engine oil with synthetic and plan do the next at 175 hrs.Not sure its necessary but rather be safe than sorrry.

When I was doing my 50 hour service, my dealer said the same thing...."why are you changing the hydraulic fluid?"
Where I work, we have a very stringent PM schedule - including changing hydraulic fluid at set intervals.
This is likely my last tractor (I'm 45) - it better last, and I will with changing fluids as they are supposed to be.
I have a lot of respect for JD engineers - they put that stuff in the manual for a reason.

If you do not change the hyd. oil, you had better change the filter and check the screens. I guarantee you that the screen will be full of steel filings.
