In my opinion, you are wasting your money changing the differential fluid at 50 hours. I would wait for 300 hours.

He was making a declaration and he has even already done it. He wasn't asking for opinions, mine, yours or even Kubotas. We go thru this every 2 months and doubt either side changes their opinion.:)
The reply I rec'd from Kubota when I asked them about it. Course Jesus could reply and some people wouldn't believe it.

John, the person or persons from TBN do not know what they are talking
about. There has not been a Service Bulletin or even a notice sent to the
dealers that this is a mistake in the Operators manual. Kubota Tractor
recommends for you to follow your Operators manuals for servicing of each
unit you have. The BX2660 and the BX25 do not have to have the transmission
fluid change until it reaches the 400 hour mark. For the F2680, it is the
200 hour mark. The transmission oil filters need to be replaced and the
suction strainers cleaned at or before the 50 hour mark for all three
units. Your selling dealer can also assist you if you have any questions in
regard to servicing your tractors. Thank you for purchasing and contacting
Kubota Tractor Corp..

I did the 50 hour service on my L5740 some time ago and went by the manual; don't even remember off hand what it called for, I know it was less than on my L5030. I do remember overall that it was pretty easy: OK now I remember why, I handed the Manual to my son and let him do it.

Not trying to start a fight, just saying what had been done to tractor or will be done. The oil and front diff are required by Kubota the hydro and tranny not so much. What other people do is up to them. Personal experience with heavy const equiptment causes me to change the fluids that I change ie diff and trans in dump trucks at first 5000 miles. Have been doing this since 1983 and has worked out well.

Don't worry about others, do what you want. I also changed ALL my fluids and filters (minus coolant) at the 50 hour mark. Some of the stuff I have seen...... My investment, plan on keeping it a long time, I think money well spent. Good luck. Philip.

No fight or disagreement here, like I said, I can't keep up with the schedules beyond looking at my manuals and going by them. Sometimes I go by them religiously and sometimes not. I never clean my fuel filter, I just put a new one in. I use one tractor a lot more than another and clean my air filters more often than called for; we all have our ways of doing things.

In regards to the oil change, I bought the oversize oil changing pan at Tractor Supply. I don't know how to post the product from the online catalog, and I have no way of adding pictures. BTW, I have always gone by the directions and recommendations in my Operator's Manual. I have a Kubota L4400.

Amen, to each his own!:drink:
