It's time for my 50 hour service. Looking at the chart in the Operator's Manual, it says I should change the Suction Filter and the Transmission Oil Filter but that I should not change the transmission oil until I reach 1000 hours.

The mechanic at the dealer said I should change all fluids except power steering. That includes transmission oil, antifreeze, etc.

Is that correct? Am I misreading the manual and need to change all the fluids?

Thanks,
Rob

Not sure of your model of tractor. I think you should not have to change the transmission oil at only 50 hours. On my 2615, my dealer said to just change the filters.

I have a 6520 4WD. If I don't change the transmission oil but do change the filters, how concerned should I be with using the same brand of oil to prime the filters? The popular brand in the farm store is Champion Premium 4000. I called three Mahindra dealers. One uses Champion. The other two use Mahindra's transmission oil. I'd prefer not to have to drive to the dealer but will if I should. Is Champion oil a problem for the immersed brakes?
