50" deck

I have a 50" jd deck on my 1990 model 322. I replaced the spindle bearings and when I put the double pulley in the middle of the deck the pulleys don't line up with the other 2 deck pulleys or the mule drive doesn't match the top pulley or drive pulley. is there an adapter I need to go under the spindle mount to bring it up about 3/4"??

If you only replaced the bearings I would think they would be the exact same. You may want to make sure they are all the way together.

well I thought the bearings all seated correctly against the spring clip and the pulley nut goes on properly to hold the pulleys. The center pulley sits 1/2" to 3/4" lower than the other pulleys including the drive pulley has the drive belt pulling at an angle. I can't figure out how to correct this. I will check all the spindle assemblies and see; but I don't think that is it. If I put a sleeve on the drive pulley shaft it will just push the pulley above the threads where you can't get the nut on it; so I don't know yet. This didn't seem like that hard a task when I started; but ended up kind of baffling.

I did a set of spindle bearings once and put one of the spindles in from the wrong side but I didn't press it in. Any chance of one being in from the wrong end?

Well, I went back together with the spring clip in place, pressed the bearings in and then added the final retainer clip. I'm going to put my old deck belt back on it and see if maybe the new belt I bought at auto zone may have just not fit right;.
