Hi all,

I'm looking at getting a toothbar for my loader bucket to help with digging.

My dealer indicated they go for approx $100 a foot. Seems a bit high and was wondering what I should expect for pricing.

Thanks in advance.....

That seems awfully expensive. A lot of posters have used Markham Welding toothbars, and like them, for a lot less money shipped from North Carolina. There are other aftermarket alternatives as well, like W. R. Long, ATI, etc. You can google them to get their contact information. Good luck in your search.

I was quoted $450 for the JD 72" tooth bar.

I have the JD 5' Toothbar. I forget what I paid for it, but it's the same price that's listed online on JD Builder.

I got my Deere tooth bar at dealer cost, $240. I had a Markham on my old 2520 and it cost about the same. The JD bar has blount teeth and the Markham had sharp teeth. I have not had a problem with either one, except the JD bar is HEAVY. JC

$100 a ft is too high.

Just paid 284.44 for a 53" tooth bar from Markham Welding. Included shipping to NY.

I think that is who I will go with as well. My bucket is 61" inside dimensions.

Thanks much!
