Can a 3520 ehydro handle a 6' rotary cutter? The JD website says only a 5'.

Should handle the 6' cutter. May have to slow up if the cut is reasonably heavy and tough. But for most cutting, the 3520 should handle it well. Might have to have the FEL on or front weights to hold down the front wheels when picking it up.

I have the 300CX FEL so that should do it.

I'd think tractor power you're fine, but tail weight may be an issue with hills. I have a 3720 and us a 5'...some would say you can roll faster with 5' than 6' so you really don't same much time.

In that case I'd be better off to get the 5' and get done in the same amount of time with a lower costing piece of equipment.

I too have a 3520 and use a 5 foot Woods cutter. One thought not mentioned above: With a six footer, you will have a faster tip speed and can overlap about a foot. This would make it easier and not really add to power requirements. For me, weight would be the deciding factor. If I needed to add weight beyond the FEL, I'd go for the 5 footer. Otherwise, I'd buy the six.

It will power either but handle a 5' much better. The 6 foot one is really heavy and loses some effectiveness due to it being some more cumbersome on the machine.

Looking at the RC20 series, I see only 104 lbs difference in weight. The 72" is rated for 25 - 65 PTO HP - well within the range for a 3520. I have no problem powering the 72" MMM with a 3320.
