Not a big problem, but a bit of an irritant.
The hood strut goes in to a receptacle on the right side (driver POV) of the hood. The left side sags quite a bit.
Is this the nature of the beast? More of a curiosity thing than a "I gotta fix it" thing.
The tractor is a 2005 4520 with a Curtis Cab.

The hood is slightly flexible on mine but I haven't noticed it sagging. I can take a picture tomorrow and post it for you.

Ya the hood sure seems flimsy when its propped up I don't fully recall at the moment but I do think it tweaks a little to one side.

Roy..... I was wondering what a sagging hod was..... Thought it has something to do with age......

Both my big Kubota's hoods do that. Never thought much about it, just chalked it up to light gage sheet metal.

Yeah, I noticed that right after I posted. You can edit posts, but I don't think you can edit thread titles afters posting the thread

Roy,
I checked my hood and there is about 3/4" sag on the side opposite from the hood rod support. When closed everything fits just right.

Roy: FYI, the Hod on my M9 lists to the right about an inch and on the 105, the Hod lists to the right about 1/'2". Both close fine.... I looked Sunday when I checked the batteries to be sure the tenders were on.....

The Hod on the M9 has some corrosion on the lower left corner, time for a repaint.:D

Same issue on the 3 series machines, the hood isn't very well braced and could use relocation of the support rod to the front.

Same thing here, Roy. My bonnet sits the same way with the rod support in... heck, if it wasn't for that 'play' or flexibility it would be a (more) difficult action to insert the rod.

Of course, no matter how I accomplish 'lifting the bonnet & inserting the support rod', I get two large splotches of FEL grease on my shirt & trousers.
