4WD models available in India for Indian market?

I plan on buying a couple of 4WD Mahindra's in Bombay/Mumbai in a few weeks and I can only find the 4WD's 4500, 5000, and 5500 available for sale in India through online resources. Anyone have any ideas if any of the smaller 4WD/HST models are for sale in the Indian market?

No they aren't. The smaller 4wd's are not built in India and aren't brought in there either.

Thanks. I thought I had read that the smaller 4WD's/HST's are made in Korea. Looks like I have to buy a 4500 4WD or larger if I want a 4WD Mahindra. I have quotes for about $5900 U.S. Dollars F.O.B. Bombay for a 4WD 5500. The other choice is a John Deere 5310 55hp 2WD made in India for export to the U.S. for about $6500.00. We are using the tractors for a commercial winery with not a lot of heavy digging or tree removal. Mainly mowing, spraying, and material handling. Anyone have any suggestions for other smaller Mahindras I would prefer to keep the total tractor weight under 7500lbs so I can trailor the tractor without buying a new truck and trailer.

Good luck bringing in that tractor.. I hope it has an EPA approved engine... then I hope your insurance company doesn't mind it not having a roll bar or seat belt... just a few hard lessons learned from importing ..

Thanks for the reminder. We also own a vehicle import company so we are already on top of the EPA certs. Roll bar and seat belt are minor fixes. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
