I don't know exactly how it works on the LS but on my Kioti it is a large electromagnet that is right by the foward pedal. When energized it attracts the pedal and prevents the forward pedal movement.

Which switch did you order?
I'm not too concerned but if it fails I'll have to come up with a different location to mount a similar switch.
