I am going to get a new L3710 with FEL this week and I would like to definitly get a 4N1 bucket, the dealer said he could get me a WR Long aftermarket 4n1 kit, any input with regard to make or models of 4n1 products would be great. I was told that it would cost about 1,500.00 more to add. I was also told that they were very much worth the extra $$$.

Thanks
Graham

I have found the 4 in 1 to be the most useful and versatile tool. My dealer installed an ATI brand, and I have been happy with it. I thought I had specified a Long, but aside from a hyd. leak or two, it has been all that I had hoped.
One suggestion would be to be sure to specify a joystick button control. My dealer installed a separate valve and
stick which requires going from one stick to the other to control the lifting, curl, etc., and the 4 in 1 functions. Works good, but not as convenient. You will be amazed what you
can do wih the 4 in 1 as you get to know the capabilities.

What applications do you use yours for?

Thanks

Various applications, I guess mostly cleaning up some property and moving big piles of dirt. I was told that it was l worth the extra $$$, and that I would be able to do alot of things with it. Don't know quite yet. I ordered my L3710 today and it will be delivered on Thursday and the 4N1 will be about three weeks out, as well a the new loader Kubota is releasing. The dealer daid Kubota is releasing a new Loader and that is would not ship until mid Feb. I can't wait.

thanks

I am getting the W.R. Long 4 in 1 bucket with my new Kubota L3430 w/cab tractor this week. Mine cost $2100 and that included the Joystick button valve control, installation and I did get the 68" Heavy duty version that has a much larger opening. I would check out Carver's website as they have a good description of the sizes and quality as well as prices on the Long 4 in 1 buckets.

oldcrusty.

A 4 in 1 bucket has 4 different functions. 1.It is a standard bucket. 2. It opens up and the back part of the bucket is used like a bulldozer blade. 3. The front of the open bucket can be angled and used a lot like a reverse box blade. 4. The jaws can be closed and used as grabbers and clamping/bite force is around 3000#. Haven't seen one for real yet but it sounds like a very useful tool. For a better look and price, check out Carver's website at www.carverequipment.com. I ordered the UJ series for the compact tractors because others have recommend the heavier duty model and the jaw opens up to 34" instead of 22" like the lighter duty model. One concern is that they weigh about 200-300# more than a standard bucket. No problem because I ordered it with a quick attatch bucket so I can use my regular material bucket for routine stuff. I can't wait to try it and the new tractor out. Should be ready and delivered in 2-3 days.
