48\" Toothbar

Anybody know where to get one of these reasonably priced? I've checked out the links here on the forum and they all seem to want about $350 plus shipping. Since I'm not contemplating commercial use, just to bust up some dirt and push a few rocks around, I was hoping to spend quite a bit less. I looked at Johnny Bucket, but they only make them for their own products. I have a Koyker 155 FEL with a 48" bucket, any tips appreciated, but I've already looked at most of the ones I could Google, and they're all about the same price.....

Dave:

There's a post in the build-it yourself section, I think the thread was called "how many teeth" anywho it's on the first page if you scroll down a little bit.

He bought seperat teeth and put them on his bucket, you may try a local skid steer shop and see what they have, they may even have on to fit your bucket.

went to KC Bobcat, but all theirs are 60" or bigger. Seems I saw a site that offered to sell the teeth only, have to see if I can find it again...............

Being you have metal experience, can you cut a tooth out and shorten it to fit or take a little bit out of each side...of course if it's in the budget.

I herd that Carver equipment (look in the dealer page) is a good company to work with and alot of help with tooth bars, but then again you right back into paying for it and paying to having it shipped.

You could just go the redneck way and get out the torch and cut teeth in the bucket its self...thats a joke /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Re: 48\" Toothbar

I can supply you with a 48" toothbar for quite a bit less than what you were quoted . It is manufactured by a company that makes a complete line of bucket attachments for several loader & skid steer manufactures. Email me for details.

Re: 48\" Toothbar

P.S. The one we bought was 48". Had teeth at each end and had a total of 5 heavy duty teeth. It also went on to my Yanmar 155d with a yanmar loader. Not sure if it is the original bucket or not. Hope this helps.....

Re: 48\" Toothbar

Thanks! I also need a 48" for my loader, I'll see what happens. Are you satisfied with the quality of the bar, the strength of the teeth, welds etc?

Re: 48\" Toothbar

I got mine yesterday, and mounted it up on the bucket. Looks really well made, uses the pin on teeth etc. I would recommend Markham Welding to anyone who wants one of these, prices are reasonable ansd service is quick. I paid $158. plus shipping. Now, time to put it to work this weekend! Heres a pic.........
