I just bought a used Branson 4720 from my uncle. He had the motor built complete with head job and injector pump rebuilt with new injectors. When it was first done it ran like brand new. After about 100 hrs it started being hard to crank. Spins and spins thin runs like its firing on 1 or 2 cylinders then smokes white for a few minutes and idles up. Once warm no spoke plenty of power. Then it starts dying and losing power after about an hour of working it real good. So I pulled, drained and cleaned tanks, replaced lift pump with after market inline with pre filter, replaced all fuel lines and installed online filter before water separator and now it will run all day. Still same cranking symptoms. Now when it gets hot it won't crank back till it cools dor a few hrs.
