John Deere 4700
I have a 4700, 4X4, ehydro and noticed a lot of play on the left, inner tie rod end. It is the one that looks like it screws onto the steering cylinder. Just wondering how much play is acceptable and how hard are they to change?

The Jdparts listing shows that you have to by both the inner and outer tie rods. Is that the case or can you buy them separately? Is there a different number for the left and right side of the tractor? I could not see any.

Any help you can provide on step by step on how to replace it would be appreciated.

Thank you

Kevin

Kevin, The place to start with this is to get the service manual CD for the tractor.

There happens to be one here for a decent price:
