2006 JD 3520 w/cab & 300CX loader. 1995 JD 870 w/440 loader & 8b backhoe.JD 455 w/54" mower deck.
What do you have to do to replace the o-ring on a 455's brake linkage where it goes into the transmission case? Do you have to remove tranny or can it be done in place?

Looks like you need to remove the brake cover, and then remove the snap ring to get at the o-ring. If the attached pic is showing the o-ring in question here.
Edit: Appears they suggest removing the tranny. Maybe to avoid losing the steel balls that are mentioned.
