John Deere 4520
I recently bought a used 2012 open station 4520 and found several connectors on the back. I don't have a relationship with a dealer to ask him about these, just wondering if anyone can lend some info what these might be for and what powers them. Mainly inquiring because I eventually want to add the front and rear lighting kit on the ROPS and I assume these might be dedicated for that purpose. They have tags on them but have worn off before I acquired the machine.

Deere is pretty good about making things plug and play, light extra lighting for cuts. Really what you need to identify what is what is a multimeter/testlight, tech manual, or instructions from the oem kits to identify what is what. I believe # 2 is for lighting can't say for the other two they could be lighting, could be related to the cruise upgrade or something along those lines.

Thanks for the advice and good call on maybe the cruise upgrade reasoning....and I do plan to dive in deeper with my multi-meter. Haven't really found much info online so thought I would see if anyone had quick and dirty explanation before I spend a lot of time in maintenance and operation tech manuals.

The service tech manual will give you the circuit diagrams, which along with the multi-meter will help you pinpoint and identify the connectors.
Hope you report back with your findings and light results.
