Boy, I hope you had the time to clean that off while it was still wet. If you had to wait until it dried I'd just paint it green and call it ballast, whew.:D

I had to take a skunk I got out to the back of the property to bury and I did not want to carry it next to me dead in the live trap..... So I put it in the bucket... The ground was just wet enough to turn the tires into slicks....

A nice trip down the road cleaned them off...:D And mine was not as bad as yours, thank god....

I love the R-4s for everything except wet dirt(clay) and mud....

Just had to go and put your brand new baby in the mud!! I thought it looked good that way, never thought the clay would bind up on those fenders like that. Maybe that is some good stuff for making pottery and such? I am sure it cleaned up real pretty again.

Good luck next time trying to have more fun than allowed! Did you have to steer the fronts back and forth in FWD to help not get stuck? Even that size has more than enough power to over run the traction.

Ed, my feelings exactly. I had my tractor gummed up with red clay about 4 years ago. It was very close to Darin's with so much mud under the fenders that I could only move it in the lower ranges of the HST. When I hit it with the garden hose, it shed water like a duck's back. I had to take a crowbar and wood plank to scrape off most of the mud. Some I had to just let dry and then bust up the "bricks" to get it out. All my mechanical linkages under the operator's platform were filled with caked mud. What took me only 20 minutes to get into took me almost 6 hours of cleaning to remove. Whew! I learned my lesson. No more of that. There are very few things I need to do that are that important.

Darin, I know you had a fun cleaning job. I hope you got all the mud out of the nether regions of your beautiful new tractor.:)
