OK, the ole 4720 is going to find a new home - we need another cab tractor for raking hay, etc around here. 0% for 48 months on the 4000s is a sweet deal.

Looking at 4520 cab
e-hydro
400X loader
Standard 72" bucket - will put a toothbar on it
Rear Valve
Rear Work lights
Radio
Telescopic draft links
Automotive Cruise
R4 tires

Debating:
Rear fender extensions - looks like it needs it on the rear.
Rear Wiper

What am I missing?

Looks like I can get a deal on a 2008 4520 before the price increase.

Are air ride seats standard on 4x20 cabs?

Can you get the deluxe brush guard?

It is not standard.

The 4520 is at another dealer and it is supposedly loader ready. I think that means it comes with the standard brush guard. I like the deluxe one, but if it already comes with the standard, oh well.

D. - loader ready...? Could ya/would ya get the CX? Especially if you're movin' those big round bales.

I'd sure like to have a cab ---

A guy could always play the radio to check on the weather - just to be sure what it's like outside....

Good luck on the new cab model.

I really don't think I want the CX. That self leveling stuff drives me crazy.

The current 400x moves bales without a problem.

You aint kidding on the cab. I was out baling and I had to keep opening the rear window to see if the pickup clutch was slipping. I had a rock get stuck in a auger - I think finished it off. I picked up a replacement today.

Thanks,
D.

When is the price increase coming?

Also, I tested out and got pricing on a 4000 Twenty series tractor over the weekend and was rather annoyed at how loud the tractor was (4320).

Still, I'd love to have a 4520 e-Hydro with a 400CX loader on the farm, even though it's so freaking loud.

The price I was quoted was $33,300 or so with a few extras like rear hydraulics, loaded R4s, heavy-duty bucket, hood guard, and skid-steer quick attach. Seems a little high to me.

It sounded like it has already happened, just depends on when the actual tractor was made. The one I am looking at is existing inventory.

My 4720 is loud. With a cab, it is not as loud. :)

I always wear hearing protection on my 4720. People think it is strange at times, but I know a lot of deaf farmers.

$33,300 does seem a tad high on that setup. Heck for not a lot more I bet you can get a cab unit.

The deluxe brush guard just bolts to the standard one.:D

Good luck!

I had the stock brush guard and then upgraded to the deluxe - guess I wanted something to do on it?

Is it loud enough to make you want to use ear plugs?

Oh really? I did not know that. Makes for a high dollar brush guard, but it looks cool!

Thanks for the info,

I use ear muffs every time I am on my 4720. I leave a set on the ROPS so I have no excuse not to use them. You won't want to run a 4x20 open station very often or very long without some hearing protection.

Yeah, I actually bit on the upgrade - After i got the unit:(. But it does make the unit look different - like a huge bush vehicle, just a lot slower and stronger!

Well, I sold my 4720. I am going to pull the trigger on the 4520 cab today. I still need to put the accessory list together, but that will come together.

Darin, that didn't take long. I blink and you've upgraded. Now I'm really jealous. 2 cab tractors. Hope you got a good price for your 4720 and get a good price for your new one. Did you sell the 4720 outright?

How much rain did you get while it was storming up there?

I think I did pretty good on my 4720 with 400X - $22k outright.

Rain was 1.45" so far. We need more.

Did you try to sell it W/O the 400X so you could put your FEL on your new tractor?
Did it go with the shredder?

A few years back, I wanted a 4720 and my dealer offered $14K for my 4310, FEL and shredder. It was at the pinnacle of depreciation. It only had about 150hours on it. It would have been a $4000 hit. Looking at Tractorhouse nowadays, it seems its worth a bit more than $14K compared to what the others are priced at. So, I've been driving it for FREE for 3 years!:D

I can also vouch for that, I got a very good trade-in on my 4310 when I went for my current unit.

I tried to sell it without the 400X since it would drop right on the cab tractor but everybody wanted it with the tractor.

I sold only the tractor and loader.

I wish I could get more for it, but oh well. I really need 2 cab tractors - makes all the difference in the world.

Ok, I have to ask? Why are you going with the standard duty bucket? When everybody almost anybody on here regrets the flimsy standard duty? For just a couple hundred more, you could have the heavy duty 73" bucket? Unless you don't use it much? But I've seen so many standard dutys bow and warp, especially along the top rail of the bucket....
