4500 vs 5500

I have recently purchased 43 acres and 2 breeder hen(chicken not turkey) houses and am getting ready to purchase a tractor. I have a quote form my local Mahindra dealer on a new 4500, a 6' HD land pride cutter, a 6' box blade, a 6' disc, a boompole and a 16' 7000lb dual axle trailer for 16,598 out the door. Is this a good price? Also, the 5500 with all the same equipment is $1300 more at $17,898, what do ya'll think. Land is mostly flat, with a couple of small hills.

sounds like the price is right, dont be suprised if that tractor is to much for that little trailer though. i got pretty much the same deal for $17800.00 with FEL. i have 70 hrs on it now,,, so far im very happy with it. i wanted a 5500 4wd but couldnt justify the extra money.

check with singleton sales in franklinton la they are the cheapest i have ever found. talk to mike he is a really good guy.

Did you get the 5500 with all that plus the FEL for 17800?

4500 2wd, 6' shredded, 6' box blade, FEL, extra wide 16' trailer..... $17885.00

The dealer quoted me an additional $4250 for the FEL.

the front end loader is worth every dime. that ML260 is one heavy duty loader, they put the same one on the 60 hp. i figure with mine it would be hard to damage the loader especially sisce i dont have loaded tires. ill break traction first. i have dug in clay like it is so i dont need extra traction.
