I changed both air filters about 50 hours ago. I was doing routine maintenance today, grease, clean the engine and check the air filter.
The outside air filter was a little dirty so I blew it out. ( the inside was perfect). When I put it back together and start the engine the air filter light
on the dash board stays on. ( the book said that indicates a clog)
What is really funny to me is that the light comes on even before the engine cranks like when preheating and just stays on.
Seems like to me if the sensor was good it would stay off and only come on if there was no or little flow through the intake.
I will probably go ahead and replace the outer filter again but I think it may be that the sensor is bad.
Any one had any experience with this problem ?
