Hello, while mowing today with my 4410 and brush hog the front wheels spun a few times during turns on softer ground even though the MFWD switch was OFF. I switched it on for a few seconds and then back to off a couple of times but it kept doing it. Any ideas what might be going on? Thanks for your help.

Try this:
Lift your front wheels (with the loader bucket in curl) and disengage the MFWD.

i owned a 4410 for 6/7 years before i bought my 3520. in my recollection on a 4410 the mfwd is normally engaged all the time and the rocker switch disengages it. you probably have some sort of electrical problem (switch-solenoid-wiring-etc?????) hope this helps...........................bud

Bud 4410 is right. The MFWD has power to it at all times. If it won't disengage to have a open in the circuit somewhere. Crawl under the tractor and look for loose wires. Do a good visual inspection under the tractor and then we can get into checking which wires. Look in front of the rear wheel on the right and forward of the transmission on the right and left.

My guess is while brush hogging you pulled a wire out of a connector. Very common.
