ChristheQuaker, I don't know where your from but that price is incredible by central Maryland standards. Just got a quote on a 4120 from Marylands largest Deere dealer (guess I can say that much). Never see dealers mentioned by name here unless it's favorable and seldom then and don't quite understand that) Maybe it's that I just haven't seen it or maybe it's a political-business thing and the Moderator is trying to keep things civil and the advertising $$$ coming??? That I'd clearly understand. Maybe I should read some rules.

I requested a quote for the above tractor, hoe, and snow blade so they didn't get the bid/quote scope right come presentation time.
I went to school with the Owners and they are all really decent guys. Based on that I want to believe.... they've perhaps gotten so large they don't always know what the sales force is up to.
My Project Management position puts me in a constant sales monitoring situtation. The guys below me are not titled as salesmen or is that persons? but they most certainly are. If I saw anyone on my team putting numbers that far out of wack on the street they be hard under my thumb, at least, and an immediate apology would go to the Customer/ potential Customer whether or not they were aware they deserved it. You don't build either repeat or initial business that way. Observing their success though, something is awry with this quote.
After I make my purchase elsewhere I guess I owe them a call to let them know my take on this but I'm not going to use any old friendships for that at this stage. They may be old Buds but I have to go elsewhere. My Customers would and should. Maybe I'll change my mind on that before spring???? Perhaps this is just a bit too principled?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sounds like I'm on the opposite end of the Deere pricing world.
With the pricing you got I'd say you may owe the dealer an apoolgy. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
