I have a 4410 compact utility tractor with a 430 front-end loader with about 600 hours. When I first start up the tractor and begin raising the front-end loader it is very jerky. After some use the curl and uncurling of the bucket becomes sloppy. If you move the bucket to the hanging down position you can grab the edge of the bucket and move it back and forth five or 6 inches before feeling resistance from the hydraulic cylinders. These symptoms can be eliminated by first full raising of the loader and then cycling the bucket and then cycling the lift arms. I am assuming this gets rid of the air in the system. After some use, we are back to having issues with air in the system.

I also note that when I am uncurling the bucket and then reverse the joystick to curl the bucket initially it continues to uncurl. I am wondering if this has to do with their being air in the system also?

My initial reaction is that I must be sucking in some air in the hydraulic system but the question is where. I have no visible oil leaks on the tractor. Has anyone had this happen to their tractor and what was their solution?
